Charles Nayaert

Charles L. #8220;Chuck#8221; Nayaert, 67, of Manhattan, Montana passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in Bozeman, Montana. Chuck was born May 10, 1943 in Clifton Springs, New York to Alphonse and Margaret Nayaert. He was raised in Phelps, New York until he joined the US Marine Corps. Upon his discharge from the Marines, Chuck married Cheryl Taggart on March 20, 1965. He worked in construction, building homes. He was very active as a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, his son Carl Nayaert, and sister Dorothy Van Camp. Survivors include his wife Cheryl; sons, Rick (Nisa) Nayaert of Monroe, NC and Robert (Wanda) Nayaert of Marshville, NC; daughter, Cheri (Jeff) Lyons of Rushville, NY; brother Edward (Ruth) Nayaert of Phelps, NY, nine grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Kris Nayaert of Bandon, OR. The family wishes to thank all of Chuck#8217;s friends and family for their thoughts and prayers. A memorial service will be held in Phelps, NY at a later date.
