Carole Ann Tubbesing

June 19, 1936 — March 14, 2012

Carole Ann (Marchio) Tubbesing passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born June 19, 1936 in St. Paul, MN to Nicholas and Winifred (Caniff) Marchio. Carole was born and raised in St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Johnson High School. She married David William Tubbesing on September 10, 1960 in Osage, Iowa and the couple moved to Bozeman in 1972. Together with Marv and Joyce Leister, they co-owned and operated Bozeman OK Hardware and Western Auto until 1980. Carole’s most important aspect of her life was her family and friends. She will be remembered for being caring, compassionate and for her willingness to give to others. One of her biggest joys was a recurring reunion of all the people she loved held up at the Hyalite camp every other year since 1983. She also enjoyed traveling, and in their retirement years, she and Dave were able to explore a good chunk of the American southwest. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Nick. She is survived by: her sons John (Dana) and Dan (Mera) of Everett, WA; her siblings Jane, Donna, Cathy, Jim, Steve, and Bob, all of the Twin Cities area; and her grandchildren Caitlin, Ryon, Erica and Evan. She loved being a grandma, and since her grandchildren lived far away, she was tickled when the neighbor family had two little girls (Paige and Reilly) that she could keep her grandmothering skills sharp on. She was loved by so many, and will be sorely missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carole’s name to Bozeman Deaconess ICU c/o Bozeman Deaconess Foundation, 931 Highland Blvd., Suite 3200, Bozeman, MT 59715.
