Bonita "Bonnie" Rae Arts

August 23, 1940 — January 16, 2017

Bonita “Bonnie” Arts passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 surrounded by her husband Robert, children, siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the love of her life great-granddaughter Annikka. Bonnie was born and raised in Bridger Canyon and was a Bozeman native her entire life. Along with her husband Robert Arts, she owned and operated Intermountain Drywall for 44 years.

Bonnie loved her family, traveling, and the outdoors. She could snag a fish from any creek she camped near. Snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and the back of Robert’s Harley trike gave her great joy. Anywhere Bob was, Bonnie was not far. Married and best friends for 44 years, she could be on the road in her R.V. at the blink of an eye.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandson Jason. Bonnie is survived by her husband Robert; her children Bruce (Peggy Anne) Funk of Bozeman, Montana, Lori (Tracy) Crosbie of Yuma, Arizona, Branden (Kendra) Arts of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; siblings Sherry Cowman of Curlee, Washington, Sandy Lemke of Auburn, Washington, Virginia (Ken) Olsen of Seattle, Washington, Gordie (Joe) Stevens of Bozeman, Montana, Mervyn Vahlbusch of Anchorage, Alaska; and by her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
