Bettyann Helen Cote, maiden name (Snipes) died peacefully at home in Bozeman on January 19th 2017 at the age of 74.

Bettyann is survived by her children Pamela Halgren (Dale), William Phillips (Amy), Brian Phillips, Matthew Phillips and Aaron Phillips (Anna). Her grandchildren are Eric Halgren (Rebecca), Heather Perry (Joshua), Amanda Halgren, David Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Lydia Phillips, Derek Daniels, Mathew B. Phillips, Gunner Phillips, Sabrina Phillips and Aidan Phillips. Her great-grandchildren are Morgan Perry, Pearl Perry, Ingrid Perry, Lenore Perry and Parker Halgren.

Bettyann was born on September 29th 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut to Peter Snipes and Mary Geci. She graduated from E. Hartford High School in 1959. She married William A. Phillips on June 25th 1960. They began their life together in Kentucky where her husband was stationed in the U.S. Army. Her husband then received orders to be stationed in West Germany where they lived together for a short deployment. They enjoyed their time traveling throughout Europe. Following William’s enlistment, the happy, young couple returned to the United States to start their family of five children. She loved her children very much and enjoyed being with them whenever she could. Bettyann was a kind and generous wife and mother. She encouraged spiritual development and participated in her children’s activities. She encouraged and exemplified healthy living. She was thrifty and always on the lookout for a bargain.

She was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She often volunteered at the Senior Center and the Community Café. She loved to dance, socialize, dress-up and be active in community events.

She was also a great patriot who loved her country and what it stands for.

Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 28th at 1:30 P.M. at the LDS Stake Center located at 2915 Colter Ave. in Bozeman, MT. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bettyann’s life.
