Annette 'Ann' Lynn Cockerham

January 17, 1957 — November 7, 2014

Ann passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 from a severe allergic reaction to a medication. We would like to express our deepest appreciation of the care she received at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital intensive care unit. Special thanks to Dr. Sullivan, Dr. Knappenburger & Nurses; Linda, Traci, Sally and nursing student Tina. She was born January 17, 1957 to Auburn and Dolores Cockerham. Ann graduated from Belgrade High School with Honors in 1975. She went on to study psychology at MSU for two years, then took a brief break and moved to Spokane. She returned to Belgrade and completed her degree in Computer Science from MSU in 1985. She move to Dallas, TX for work and lived there for the next 15 years. In 1999, Ann returned to Belgrade and began her long career at RightNow Technologies (now Oracle). As one of the first employees, her many contributions were significant to RightNow’s success. Even more important was her lasting positive impact to her coworkers and team. Loved and respected by her work family, she leaves a legacy as a leader, a kind and generous friend, and an example of an example of humble confidence. Ann was an avid gardener and each year enjoyed the challenge of seeing what she could grow before the first frost. And as was her nature she always shared a story of her gardening adventures as she delighted in her co-workers tasting the rewards of her efforts. Ann is survived by her mother, Dolores; brothers Pat (Sandi), Newt (Gayle), Sister Lori Ereth (Roy) and Pam and Bill Martin. Nieces and Nephews: Danielle & Brandon Walte; Nik & Rachel Williams; Jason (Stephanie), Amanda and Todd (Jessica) Ereth; Becky (Steve) Dean & Holly (Don) Mathis and many grand nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her father, Auburn and her beloved pets: Miss Madison, Mister, and Big Cat. As Ann would have preferred, the family asks in lieu of flowers that donations and memorials in Ann's name be sent to: Heifer International 1 World Ave Little Rock, AR 72202 www.heifer.org or the Gallatin Valley Food Bank P.O. Box 1129 Bozeman, MT 59771 www.gallatinvalleyfoodbank.org or charity of your choice. No service is planned at this time.
