I just learned this day of the passing of Mr. McGray. It was a shock, due to our last conversation in early April and I extend my deepest sympathies to everyone in the family.
I'm glad that my letter did so much good to his heart and soul and that I was blessed to thank him for his service and how he touched our family's life. May God comfort all of you in these difficult days and my lasting memory of Mr. McGray will be his laughter (his granddaughter's dog stealing the laundry from the basket and her chasing it) and his humble, but proud service to our country in talking about Iwo Jima and its connection to my Dad's B-29 landing there so I could be here today.
I do hope you will get in touch with me, when you are ready and I will keep you all in my prayers. I know my Dad has a new friend in Heaven and has already reached out to 'Bob.'

Flo, Katie and family-
I am deeply saddened by your loss. I just found out about Bob and am sad I missed his funeral. Bob was one of the friendliest and funniest people I know. I so enjoyed his coming to the clinic and entertaining us all. I am also grateful for his heroic service to our nation. I am very proud and honored to have known him. Hugs to all of you!
